Jemma Webster - Subculture
Jemma Webster is a professional Artist based in Leeds. She was and born in Ripley, Derbyshire, were she hosted for first Solo Exhibition of her Artwork, entitled “Drawings: By Jemma Webster” in 2003. She began Drawing and Painting when she was thirteen years old, constantly working towards a career as an artist. She trained in Fine Art at Bretton Hall College’s Manygates Campus in Wakefield. She Graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art (Painting), and took part in a Group Exhibition in Leeds, in 2005 Entitled “Visual Chemistry”. She is now a freelance and commission Artist, producing both her own original works of art and Artworks to order.
For her Leeds Erotica Festival Project She decided to use Portraiture, as she feels it is more intimate and therefore can be more sensual. Looking at both Erotica and Fetish, she use Images of the famous Erotic Performers and Models, Dita Von Teese and Masuimi Max, as well as images of the supposedly more bizarre Fetishes of Unagi (Eels), PVC & Rubber.
