Rod Macdonald - The Reform
Roderick Macdonald is an Australian photographer living and working in Cambridge. He has written three books on photography of the nude, including the best-selling ‘Erotique Digitale’. His work has been shown at the Seattle Erotic Art Festival, the Dirty Show in Detroit, and at CCK in London, as well as in Cambridge and Norwich.
Roderick Macdonald’s work takes as its theme the formal as well as the sensual and erotic potential of the body as a photographic subject, often involving elements of fetish and bondage. Following the great tradition of classic photography of the nude, his work is mainly monochrome, with a single element of colour sometimes retained in a monochrome image to provide emphasis and to stimulate the viewer’s imagination.
