MIRANDA FORBES
is a published author and has been writing erotica for over ten years. She was appointed editor of the Xcite erotic imprint in 2007 and the range has rapidly become erotic bestsellers. They are sold on the High Street though book shop chains and are widely availability on the internet. Miranda believes women want all their senses stimulated when reading erotica and ensures that storylines celebrate female sexuality in all its forms. Spanking seems an especially popular theme and Miranda was delighted to commission The True Confessions of a London Spank Daddy after she met the man in question in a Soho pub! This book varies from the usual short stories and reveal the true-life confessions of a man who offers a professional spanking and disciplining service to women. www.xcitebooks.com
ALISON BRUMFITT – (Leeds Erotic Festival’s Resident Poet)
has taken her unique brand of energetic, insightful and entertaining performance poetry up and down the country performing at venues ranging from fancy theatres to muddy fields She has also featured on Radio Four and her peoms can even be found on cakes in Sainsbury's and Tesco's (we kid you not). This year she kicked off Swindon Festival of Literature in spring before romping through the summer season performing at Glastonbury, Greenbelt, Bhuddafields, Beautiful Day's and Cambridge Pink Festival, fitting in several performance clubs and events in 'spare' evenings. See and hear her as Leeds Erotica Festival's official poet in residence......
BECKY CHERRIMAN – (also known as Ms Writer) is a Leeds-based writer, performer, teacher and mum who works both independently and in collaboration with other artists. She writes surreal narratives about the darker and lighter sides of life and human nature. Her writing is accessible and provocative with elements of ambiguity and comes from a contemporary feminist perspective. She is interested in the challenge of engaging the reader or listener with her flawed characters and their evolving relationships both in her flash fiction and in longer works. Although her stories are not all about sex or love, most contain an erotic element. Becky has performed at various venues including Seven Artspace, Stage@Leeds, The Rotunda Museum and Stockton Riverside Festival, and is hoping to tour her Frayed Edges show with musician Jonnie Khan next spring.
VICTORIA BLISSE
is a mother, wife, Christian, Manchester United fan and erotica writer. She is equally at home behind a laptop or a cooker and she loves to create stories, poems, cakes and biscuits that make people
happy. Published with both Phaze and Total-E-Bound she writes real stories about real people with curves and tummies and other wonderfully wobbly bits. She hopes to inspire a little laugh, a lot of lust and a load of love in every reader with her works of rosy, raunchy romance. She was born near Manchester, England and her northern English quirkiness shows through in all of her stories. Passion, love and laughter fill her works, just as they fill her busy life.
SCARLETT SANDERSON is a mild mannered librarian by day and a sizzling erotica writer by night. Although her specialist field of research is counter-terrorism, Scarlett prefers penning tales about the darker side of pleasure. Published with both The Wild Rose Press and Phaze, she has been writing professionally for three years. Scarlett’s second novella, Devil’s Dance, is still receiving rave reviews despite debuting nine months ago. A versatile author, Scarlett writes a variety of subgenres (paranormal, historical, BDSM, multiple partners). With her stories she mixes a varied blend of passion, sensuality, intensity and real characters – characters that the reader can relate to in spite of the genre. She believes sex is fun and hopes her stories show the joy of women embracing their sexuality!
