corporate social responsibility
At the Leeds Erotica Festival we take our corporate social responsibility very seriously. The festival already has an emphasis on dispelling the stigma associated with erotica with an aim to encourage discussion about erotica to both educate and enlighten people.
We are currently in discussions with a number of charities and voluntary projects to see how we can support them and involve them in the festival to better educate people about erotica, sexuality and sexual health. Check back regularly for developments in this area.
As a company we also take our effect on the environment very seriously. We are committed to running as environmentally friendly business as possible by trying to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste. Where possible we work with local suppliers and work with suppliers who take steps to reduce their environmental impact.
Burlesque Against Breast Cancer
Burlesque Against Breast Cancer was created to raise money for Macmillan who help improve the lives of people with cancer by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support, and by pushing for better cancer care. [ http://www.burlesqueabc.com ]
Leeds University Union - LGBT Society
The LGBT is both a social and a support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans students at the University of Leeds. As a society, they organise social events that encourage LGBT students to interact, make friends and have fun. [ http://www.leeds.ac.uk/union/socs/lgb/home.html ]
